Hotel Colony Description
In the 1950s, several hotel buildings were built in Cuba with the aim of creating prestigious beach properties and beach facilities, mainly for the North American tourism market. Many of these buildings also housed casinos. In fact, this was the exact plan for the Hotel Colony. The architecture, with the complex housing two floors, reminds the visitor today of its original purpose. However, today’s visitors are not here for the casino games but for water sports. The International Marina Colony Diving Center is only a 5-minute bus ride away.
The spacious hotel complex has a central swimming pool with terrace-solarium in the gardens which look out over the Bay of Siguanea.
The Hotel Colony offers simple, but comfortable, accommodation where the staff welcome visitors and assist divers who stay there while they dive the underwater world of the Caribbean.

Nueva Gerona, capital of the Isle of Youth, is situated in the north-central part of the island. Hotel Colony is located 42 kilometers south-west of the capital in Siguanea Bay. Only 1.5 kilometers from the hotel is the International Dive Center of the same name. A little further to the southwest is the National Marine Park Punta Francés.
