Hotel Villa Tortuga Description
Located in a quiet side street, which leads to the main road, close to the entrance of Varadero town, Villa Tortuga is surrounded by lush vegetation giving it a peaceful feel. Its open design gives the impression of being in the open air — starting with the reception and the lobby bar (with elegantly dressed waiters), and including the low-slung buildings housing the bedrooms.
Next to the main entrance, which looks out onto the road, there’s a captivating terrace where guests can enjoy a coffee, espresso or cappuccino.
Situated in the center of the resort, and flanked by palms and bushes, the location of the pool plays an important role. The adjacent Ranchón - a rustic, palm-roofed ranch — serves cold drinks and aperitifs. Just behind here is what gives Varadero its fame: its fabulous beach.
As well as swimming in the sea or the pool, there are other activities such as billiards next to the lobby bar. You can also enjoy non-motorized sports such as kayaking, catamaraning and windsurfing, or playing volleyball and table tennis.
The hotel offers three restaurants (including two à la carte) but you’re also a short walk to town where there are several restaurants to choose from.

Hotel Villa Tortuga Location
Varadero is found on the Hicacos peninsula, 140 kilometers east of Havana. Varadero boasts some 20 kilometers of beach spreading east from the Gulf of Mexico, and to Cárdenas Bay to the west. Villa Tortuga is located at the beginning of the town, some 70 meters from the beach. The Varadero International Airport is 30 kilometers away.
